The Fifteenth China International Patent Technology and Product Fair will be held in Wuxi from 11 to 6 on 8, with a focus on patent transactions and commercialization.

On 10 month 21 day, the China National Intellectual Property Administration held a press conference in Beijing on "Intellectual Property Promoting the Development of New Quality Productive Forces in Jiangsu." At the meeting, it was announced that the Fifteenth China International Patent Technology and Products Fair (hereinafter referred to as the "Patent Fair") will be held from 2026 year 11 month 6 day to 8 day at the Taihu International Expo Center in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, hosted by the China National Intellectual Property Administration, organized by the Wuxi Municipal People's Government, and co-organized by Intellectual Property Publishing House Co., Ltd. This is the first time the Patent Fair has landed in Jiangsu after its integration with the China International Design Expo.

This year's Patent Fair takes "Patent Chains Connecting Innovation, Transformation Releasing Value" as its theme, with an exhibition area of 2.2 ten thousand square meters. It features 8 exhibition zones: China Patent Award, Local Patent Awards, Patent-Intensive Industries, AI-Empowered Transformation and Application, Intellectual Property Service Ecosystem, Design-Driven Living, Science-Industry Integration Showcase, and Geographical Indications, and will also organize more than 40 series of events. The opening ceremony will concurrently hold the China Patent Award presentation conference, awarding the 26th China Patent Gold Award and Design Gold Award.

In terms of transactional attributes, an on-site patent technology roadshow platform and transaction negotiation area will be set up, an online patent technology exhibition column will be launched, and more than 10 special activities will be coordinated, including cross-regional special roadshows, transformation competitions, industry matchmaking, and financial services, promoting the exhibition's shift from "viewing achievements and exhibitions" to "discussing cooperation, conducting transactions, and promoting implementation." The site will also release Wuxi City's new-type research and development institution technological achievements and scenario application demand lists to find application scenarios for patent technology; and launch the nation's first prefecture-level city intellectual property equity investment fund with a scale of 10 hundred million yuan, signing a batch of proposed investment projects in fields such as semiconductors, aero engines, and artificial intelligence.

In terms of internationalization, this year's event plans to invite the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization to attend the opening ceremony, concurrently hold activities such as the Five Offices (China, US, Europe, Japan, Korea) Design International Conference and the Global High-Level Dialogue on Patent Pool Operations, invite guests and exhibitors from multiple countries, regions, and international organizations, and establish an intellectual property service workstation to strengthen on-site protection and comprehensive services.

In addition, this year's event will for the first time establish Guangdong and Hubei as dual guest provinces of honor, and promote 5 high-level strategic dialogues at a high level, releasing achievements such as the China Intellectual Property Operations Annual Report.
